Airbus is talking to Indian carriers for new orders to be placed in 2011 and expects India to account for close to 10 percent of its global revenues from the commercial aircraft business in the next four to five years as the country's aviation industry recovers, Dow Jones reported.

Airbus has a 68 percent market share in India and is closely followed by Boeing.

Airbus's single biggest order came in 2005 from national carrier Air India
when, as part of a mammoth expansion and fleet modernisation, the
carrier ordered 111 planes--68 from Boeing and 43 from Airbus. The
total order was worth US$15 billion, out of which Airbus accounted for
about $2 billion.

Its other customers in India include Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines and IndiGo Airlines.
